American Chop Suey – Recipe June 14, 2012

This is one of my son’s favorite┬árecipes. My grandmother would make it for us when we were kids. I just don’t add the chopped onions since neither my son or myself like them. I made this for dinner last night.

American Chop Suey

  • 1lb spaghetti
  • 1lb beef (browed)
  • 1 1/2oz condensed campbells tomato soup
  • 6oz hunt's tomato paste


Step 1
Start by browning to beef in a pan.
Step 2
Start cooking the spaghetti. Make sure you break it in half.
Step 3
Once the beef is done I put it on a paper towel and plate to drain any grease off. I use 90% meat.
Step 4
Once your spaghetti is done cooking drain and add back to the pot and add all ingredients. I also add a half a can of water.
Step 5
Turn the heat back on and mix everything until warm all the way through.
Step 6
I also make garlic bread sticks and put fresh grated parmigiana on it.
